Direction for Our Times is the organization which was established in December 2004 to promote the writings of Anne, and membership of The Apostolate of The Returning King. Direction for Our Times is dedicated to facilitating and helping ARK to spread the writings and spirituality throughout the world.

a dynamic and growing movement within the Catholic Church, born from a profound spiritual calling and guided by ecclesial authority from its inception.
Our Mission
Rooted in Church authority and inspired by Anne’s leadership, the Apostolate of the Returning King offers a clear spiritual path for everyone. We invite all who want to share God’s love in the world to participate. Guided by inspired messages, the Apostolate welcomes anyone—no matter their personal struggles or life circumstance—who wants to join Christ’s Rescue Mission of mercy and compassion.
Our Founder
Kathryn Anne Clarke, an American author living in Ireland with her family, is a prolific and internationally respected Catholic spiritual writer. With more than 40 published books, booklets, and pamphlets, and millions of copies in circulation, her writings have reached hearts across the globe. Translated into 18 languages and available to the world in a free online library, Kathryn’s work offers hope and healing to people in every corner of the world.
Church Position
The writings of the Apostolate carry the Nihil Obstat and the Imprimatur, which are official declarations that a publication is free of doctrinal or moral error and that ecclesiastical permission for its publication has been granted. In 2018 the Apostolate received canonical recognition as an Association of the Faithful with Juridical Personality. This Sacred Decree issued by Bishop O’Reilly, formalized the movement, and recognized and commended its contribution to the Catholic Church.
Tearmann Anama (The Soul Sanctuary)
Tearmann Anama is a phrase in the Irish language that translates to ‘Soul Sanctuary.’ This will be the official name of our new international headquarters. We are constructing a modern Faith Formation Center on 38 acres in Cavan, Ireland. This center will become the new global base of operations—a lifeblood and catalyst for accelerating outreach to the faithful, particularly young people and those who have been marginalized, or unwelcome in their faith journey.
